LAS VEGAS, February 4, 2026 — As the United States commemorates its 250th anniversary, the magic of the Lunar New Year returns to Las Vegas with the 15th Annual Chinese New Year in the Desert™, taking place February 19–21, 2026. This year’s celebration carries special national significance, as Chinese New Year in the Desert™ is officially recognized as a Partner of America250, the nationwide commemoration of America’s Semiquincentennial.
Recognized by Forbes as one of the “8 Great Places to Celebrate Chinese New Year,” this citywide festival will once again dazzle locals and visitors with spectacular performances, immersive cultural experiences, and bold culinary offerings in honor of the Year of the Horse. As an Official Partner of America250, CNY in the Desert proudly aligns with the initiative’s mission to honor the diverse contributions that shape Our American Story. For more than a decade, the festival has served as a powerful platform celebrating Asian Pacific American heritage while highlighting the role of cultural traditions in the broader American narrative.
Founded in 2012 on Fremont Street, Chinese New Year in the Desert™ has grown into one of the largest Lunar New Year festivals in the United States. The event now spans iconic Las Vegas venues including The Palazzo Theatre, Palette Tea Lounge, Downtown Las Vegas, and Downtown Container Park, drawing audiences from across the region and beyond.
