Chinese New Year in the Desert™ is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and celebrating cultural diversity through meaningful community engagement and vibrant cultural programming. We are honored that Mayor Carolyn Goodman and the City of Las Vegas officially proclaimed February 20, 2013, and each year thereafter, as “Chinese New Year in the Desert Day.”

Just as Times Square in New York draws crowds for New Year’s Eve and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is a hallmark of the holiday season, America’s iconic celebrations also include the Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena and the Orange Bowl Parade in Miami.

Our goal is to establish CNY in the Desert™ / Las Vegas Spring Festival as a signature national destination—the largest and most dynamic Chinese New Year celebration in the United States.
